Crime, drugs, unemployment…despair. These social problems affect urban communities all over America. And nowhere more than Camden, NJ. Named one of the most dangerous cities in America, and with a graduation rate of less than 50% among public high school students, Camden is in danger of losing its young people to hopelessness. Is it possible to overcome these obstacles? Even in Camden? The answer is a resounding YES! Meet five young adults who grew up in Camden and whose futures are filled with hope! A Brighter Future looks at the way lives can be altered through the arts, and it provides encouragement to other communities hoping to engage their youth in constructive patterns of change.
